Pinson Snickers at Cancer!

American Cancer Society Relay for Life Wrap-Up 2012

The RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM would like to thank each and every person who helped make this year's even such a HUGE success! As a result of YOUR hard work, Pinson brought home two awards. We were chosen as the "Most Outstanding Rookie Team" and were the winners of the "Churches Raising the Most Money" award! Are you ready to hear the amount we raised? The grand total was $4,651 (and still counting!)!!!! Way to go you PINSONITES!

It was wonderful to see the church family join with the Sylvester/Worth County community in the fight against cancer! A big shout out and thank you to all of the volunteers who led our community in this effort as well!

General Conference - 2012

You can follow the 2012 General Conference of the United Methodist Church at UMC.org. There you can read the many updates and follow important events via live streaming. Delegates from all over the world are meeting to discuss issues pertinent to our mission in the world. General Conference is held every four years and it is the official legislating body of the UMC.

Vacation Bible School - Operation Overboard

Vacation Bible School dates have been set for June 11th - 15th. If you know children who might like to participate, please go ahead and give them a "heads up." You'll be hearing more about this great ministry opportunity. Please see Cecilia Hurley if you would like to help.

Thank you for visiting our website. I invite you to make yourself at home and browse around. I hope you will find everything you need. While you are here, I hope you’ll consider joining us for worship and fellowship. We realize that the first time you visit a church the experience can be a little intimidating. I can assure you that our church family is comprised of just about as “ordinary folks” as there can be. At Pinson Memorial UMC we have all kinds - old, young, middle aged, little, big, short, tall, quiet, loud, serious, not so serious, smart, not so smart – the point is, we have all types of folks here, but we are always looking to add more to our fellowship. Though we are each on a personal journey, we join with one another to create a community of worship, learning, support, encouragement, and love so that we might be the Body of Jesus Christ in the world. It is my sincere desire that you will come and go with us.
